FREELANCING
To
promote Freelancing/Entrepreneurship/Employment in Haryana, the Department of
Higher Education has established 5 centres of excellence in the Government
colleges of Haryana. These centres educate the existing students of the
college through internet based freelancing platforms like upworks.com,
Guru.com, freelancer.com and generate freelancing/self employment/employment
opportunities for the students.
Most
of the students studying in this college come from lower- and middle-income family
groups, residing largely in rural areas. Freelancing provides them an
opportunity to earn some money and fund their expenses. Some of the freelancing
jobs that our students engage in are tutoring, part-time receptionists, call
centre, part-time beauty parlour, yoga training, and tailoring.
The students also earn through the government initiated program of ' Earn while you Learn' whereby they are paid for the support that they provide in the college for administrative and departmental work.
