GANDHI JAYANTI CELEBRETION 2020

To commemorate the 151st Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the students of GCG Nacholi participated in an online event organised by the college. The students made colourful posters, recorded Bapu’s favourite bhajans and also recited poems as a mark of respect to the Father of the Nation.
From Swachch Bharat to sarvdharam sambhaav and Gandhi’s Charkha to removal of Untouchability, the students covered various issues,so dear to the Mahatma, in their posters. The beautiful rendition of Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram and Vaishnav Jan Ko by the students reflects how deeply they endear the two bhajans-Bapu’s favourite! About 65 students participated in the online event.
On this occasion the Principal, Dr. Sunidhi, paid her tribute to the Mahatma and in a message to all the students emphasised the importance of Gandhian thought, ideas and teachings in our lives. Remembering Bapu, she urged the students to ensure that their every thought and action be governed by Gandhi ji’s philosophy in life- truth, honesty, compassion for fellow beings and non-violence. Be humble, be simple and always work for the well being of the poor, deprived and weak, was her message to the girls.
Congratulating the staff and the students on the successful organisation of the event, Dr. Sunidhi once again asked one and all to imbibe Bapu’s values and work for the unity and integrity of the country.
